Mwah (short film)

Mwah is an award winning Australian short film starring Bethany Whitmore that captures the feeling of being cat-called as a teenage girl.

The short film was written and directed by Nina Buxton and premiered at the Melbourne International Film Festival in the Accelerator lab for emerging talent in 2017.

Mwah went on to screen at many festivals around the world including Palm Springs International Film Festival, Rooftop Films in New York and the Human Rights and Arts Film Festival. Nina won Young Australian Filmmaker of the Year at Byron Bay International Film Festival and the Highly Commended award from Sue Maslin at the Setting Sun Film Festival in 2018.
